Great food, good prices

Hats off and five stars to the staff! On Sunday at noon we got a place in the well-frequented inn. Although we ourselves and our three dogs were soaking wet after a long hike in the rain! And although we said that we don't want to eat, just drink a beer!

During our hike there was a nice break with delicious cakes, ice cream and coffee. We saw food being served at the next table and decided to have dinner here because it looked really great. Unfortunately, the liver was sold out for my wife, but the roulades with dumplings and red cabbage, which we opted for, were great and plentiful. Recommended, also for hiking in this area.

Restaurant very good, prices very moderate, bright, clean, comfortable and all friendly.

We were guests in the restaurant on two days and there were two days with a different gastronomic experience. On the first day we chose the homemade meat platter. Top. On the second evening we had chosen game, here the deer roulade. Previously a pumpkin cream soup due to the season. This was the least tasty in the past few weeks. Without the roasted pumpkin seeds one can hardly recognize it. Not recognizable as a pumpkin cream soup in terms of color and taste. The venison roulade didn't really convince us either. The mushroom filling was too flat in taste and was more reminiscent of a meat filling. There is still room up here. The service was friendly and accommodating. We will come back and try what else the menu has to offer.

Everything is just right here. Delicious food, friendly service and reasonable prices.

Candle light dinner with my loved one was phenomenal. Nice service, delicious food and very cheap. A station wagon that is rarely found today.

We are absolutely thrilled !!!! The atmosphere in the beer garden is wonderful and the food is world class, we ate Schäufela and pikeperch fillet. We haven't eaten that good in a long time. An absolute must come here and see for yourself! 5/5 will definitely be back !!

Today “slaughter”, “fresh liver” is written in large letters at the entrance. And the reality: 1. Try the slaughter bowl: “The boiled meat is all, we would put blood sausages on it. 2. Try blood and liver sausages. Okay, order accepted. A short time later "the liver sausages are all too ...". 3.Try the fresh liver: It's out ... And that in the evening at 6 p.m. ... We were very disappointed that the beer goulash that my husband wanted from the normal menu was "not ready yet" and when asked, "it will be ready by noon tomorrow". When asked about it, the boss only said: “Today was just a lot going on”. For years we liked to come here for dinner, but something like that shouldn't happen in a house like this. That was the lowest level. The food we finally got was very good, the beer is definitely tasty. But all in all, very disappointing!

The food tasted very good and was more than rich. You will get full here! Praise for that! There is a star deduction because we waited a long time for food. But that can happen 😊 Would come again anytime!

Have been coming here for many years. The cozy beer garden has done it to us. In addition there is always delicious, fresh food and a juicy beer! The waitress (young woman) is very nice, asks questions and is brisk! Please keep it up ...

Very nice beer garden, very delicious food and pleasant and quick service. Excellent cake!

The hotel is small and familiar. The rooms are clean and comfortably furnished according to an older architectural style. Some things are older and have their quirks, but everything is still functional and usable. Breakfast is great, despite Corona a nice buffet. Breakfast egg and coffee was brought directly to the table. There is a beer garden in the backyard, there is also the in-house black beer. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Gladly again. In terms of price, you can't complain, the price-performance ratio is great. Very good location for hiking, especially the beer hiking trails (brewery tours) around Bad Staffelstein are easily accessible here.

First of all I have to say that we got good food and could not be faulted in this regard. The restaurant was comfortably furnished. Nevertheless, I give only a "Everything okay" because we at the neighboring tables mitbekamen some problems that I do not want to go into detail here. Conclusion: the staff was always ready. Food was great, our special requests were absolutely fulfilled. We were already 5 times in the black eagle and had a big birthday with 40 people there. We were always more than satisfied. The large rear hall is great for a cozy celebration. The rear beer garden is really pretty and quiet. The guest rooms are clean and absolutely sufficient for a few days rest.!
